Handmade Jewelry Class (7th grade - Adult)
Wednesdays; July 16, 23, & 30; 5:30PM - 7:30PM
Duration: 2 Hours, 3 Weeks
Ceramics Studio: Second Floor (there is no lift available)
This class offers a unique way of approaching handmade jewelry, and even repurposing old. We will focus on learning how to sculpt with finer detail, using ceramic glazes, tips and tools for constructing artistic pieces of jewelry (earrings, general parts and pendants), all while tapping into what inspires you and your own personal style. You will plan to make 2-3 personal pieces with utilizing sterling silver, 14k gold, copper and hypoallergenic hardware, all provided. If you are a lover of earrings and pendants, this will be a fun class you won't want to miss!
July 16: Introduction, planning and sculpting
July 23: assembly discussion, tips and techniques, utilizing old and new parts, glazing
July 30: assemble glazed parts, attachment of hardware and ear hooks
